I’m more inspired for photos lately than I am for dance. And that’s saying something… usually I’m brimming with things I want to build or dance – but ever since my surgery it’s like… I don’t have the brain power, or the inspiration, or both. And I’m a little afraid it’ll never come back…
Like, realistically, I know that’s not right – because I still have the capacity to get super inspired by something if it’s overwhelmingly needing to be said/done, but otherwise, it’s like my brain can’t be bothered.
I’ve done a lot of repeating of older acts lately, just to give myself a break while still keeping my commitments to the wonderful troupes that allow me to take up space on their roster and who were incredibly understanding when I took time off for surgery.
RL first, everyone always says, but what happens when the change in your RL might become a little more… permanent. And you don’t want it to.
It’s like they fucked with my brain when I had surgery, and I know they didn’t – I know it’s all in my head – but I’m afraid that I won’t be able to figure out what’s going on and how to fix it.
I just feel so dark and tired lately. Just… tired.
So fucking tired.
