It feels good to be back.
My rescheduled surgery date is getting closer – 3 weeks from tomorrow – and I’m growing more and more nervous.
First of all, I don’t want to get too excited because I don’t want them to call me and cancel again with me having gotten my hopes up that it would happen this time. And secondly, I’m a little scared that they WON’T call. That makes it real. That means it’s really happening.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m fully prepared. I know the changes I have to make after surgery, and the changes I’ve made before surgery, and I’m prepared to follow the instructions I’ve been given to the letter. So please don’t take my nervousness as not being ready and being likely to fail.
I’m determined to not fail.
But it doesn’t mean that I’m not nervous and terrified for something so huge.
