This song! Then again, i find myself obsessed with just about everything Ruelle, Svercina, and Fleurie lately… which is alllll Nova’s fault for getting me into Shadowhunters in the first place. Powerful, dramatic music with even more powerful female vocals… *swoons*
So much so i’m putting this particular song on stage in January!
It’s hard to get back in the swing of everything post-holidays and still in that weird week period between Christmas and New Year where you’re just like, “What is life?” i saw a meme on Facebook that pretty much said something along the lines of existence being complete confusion during the time between Christmas and New Years and i can’t agree more.
Like, it’s pretty much too late to do anything you need to do before the end of the year that requires any kind of real effort, but it’s too early to start stuff that needs to be done in 2019. So instead you’re just kinda stuck in perpetual limbo for the better part of a week where each morning brings with it the question, “What day is it?” Lol.
It doesn’t help that the Eves are on Mondays this year. So like you get through the weekend and then BAM Christmas Eve or New Years Eve. It feels like an extension of the weekend and by the time you have to go back to work on Wednesday, it feels like a Monday and everything is all mixed up.
Take my RL mother for example. She is part-time staff for the place she works for… so she was off the Saturday and Sunday before Christmas – because they’re only open Monday through Friday. Then she was off Monday and Tuesday for Christmas. Then Wednesday they didn’t have enough cases to need her, so she got that off too. She worked Thursday. Then Friday the office was closed. She gets Saturday and Sunday off again for the office being closed. Then Monday and Tuesday for New Years. Works Wednesday. Then Thursday and Friday they just don’t need her, so she’s off. So over a period of 2 weeks during this holiday season, she works 2 days.
Now, sure, that would suck for her particular paycheck, but with my sister, her husband, and my nephews and niece being in town this week, it was a nice break for her to be able to actually spend time with the grandkids. But i can guarantee you that woman has no idea what day it is on any given day. Lmao.
Hell i wouldn’t either. i spent all day yesterday thinking it was Friday. Little did i know, when i woke up today… surprise! Lmao.
Jesus, just get us all into 2019 in one piece.
