A small break from the creepy to come back to just the general Fall/Autumn mood. This is the sorta stuff I miss in RL. Not that I would ever be able to wear boots like this in RL without breaking my neck… but just the need for warmer materials, longer-sleeves.

Hoodie weather used to be my favorite time of year.

I am… or, rather, I was… obsessed with hoodies. See, if you’re new here and don’t know me very well, then you don’t know I grew up in Indiana in the United States, which is a more ‘Northern’ state… a Northern state that goes through all four seasons.

So when September and October began to roll around, I started breaking out the hoodies every chance I got. Cool morning, even though the day is supposed to be warm? Hoodie in the morning, for the win! Especially if it was a morning where I had to go to swim practice in the morning. I’d not do a damn thing to my hair, throw it in a ponytail and tuck it into a hoodie and then go to school, swim, and figure out what I was gonna do after practice. Lol.

But here about 4 years ago now I moved down to Alabama. And not just Alabama, cause from top to bottom it’s about 6 1/2 hours drive… but alllll the way down to pretty much the tip of Alabama’s tail on the Gulf of Mexico. There’s not much of an “Autumn” here, and there’s not much of a “Winter” either.

Like… if it gets down to a hard freeze ever here… and lasts for any length of time other than the overnight, half the state will shut down. I remember the first December after I came down here, we had a little bit of ice one day through the morning and slightly into the afternoon. No big deal to a Northerner, right? But down here, everything south of Birmingham just… shut down. They don’t know how to deal with it down here because there is 0 salt budget.

And I dunno if you’ve ever tried to drive on ice that has NEVER had salt put on it? It’s not fun. Even for a native Northerner. I tried that day… got to the end of my street… and then turned right back around. Nope, not gonna happen. Lol.

So I suppose if you see an overabundance of blogs with fall fashion coming from me, I’m living out my cool-weather fantasies vicariously through SL. You’ll have to forgive me if you get a little bored. I’ll try to switch it up some.
